Friday Memo | May 29, 2026

May 29, 2026

Dear TBHS Community,

Yesterday, we waved goodbye to our Seniors as they completed their traditional victory lap and out the front doors. It is always a bittersweet moment. Next week brings many opportunities to celebrate our seniors (see the schedule below) including athletic awards, academic awards, scholarships, senior lunch, and finally graduation a week from today. Send all your best wishes for sunshine (or at least no lightning!)

For our 9th graders, next week brings the Physics MCAS Tuesday and Wednesday. We will have out last Faculty Meeting of the year on Tuesday 6/2, where we will share our learning from our Book Groups and celebrate our retirees.

Looking forward to the week after, we will have an 8th grade parent coffee on 6/12 at 9am and an 8th grade “Welcome to High School” assembly during Flex on the same day.

Tonight, I hope to see many of you at the PTO Soirée after the senior car parade at 3:30!

Best,

Kim

The online application for SUN Bucks (formerly Summer EBT) is now open. This federal food benefit program provides a $120 lump-sum summer benefit per school-aged child for income-eligible families. SUN Bucks income eligibility standards are the same as the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)—all enrolled students identified as meeting the income eligibility standards for free or reduced-price lunch during school year 2025-26, either through an NSLP household paper application or direct certification, are automatically eligible for SUN Bucks. Students identified as homeless, migrant, runaway, or participating in Head Start are also automatically eligible. The program is administered by the state Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) in partnership with DESE with assistance from schools. Find details and learn how to apply on the SUN Bucks website
