Friday Memo | May 15, 2026

May 15, 2026

Dear TBHS Community,

Happy Prom Day! Tonight from 6pm to 10pm at Wedgewood Pines Country Club we have our Prom! Students will be taking their traditional photos by the library starting at 5pm.

This week we had our Spring Choral Concert and Art Show Reception. What a fantastic evening for our Fine & Performing Arts students and department. Bravo! Our students returned from the BPA Nationals in Nashville with a slew of top 10 finishers! Bravo! And AP exams continue–but the end is in sight! Hooray!

Next week brings Special Olympics on Monday, 10th grade Math MCAS on Tuesday & Wednesday,  and the NHS Induction Ceremony Wednesday evening. THursday afternoon the TBHS Student Council is hosting a Field Afternoon and I’ll be meeting with Department Leaders after school.

Best,

Kim

Charter Review Committee Seeks Feedback
Please provide input to the Charter Review Committee by taking a short survey.  The committee is working to identify what's working and what needs improvement with the Charter that has been in place for about 10 years. Responses will help guide the committee in determining what needs to be amended, discarded, or introduced. Please take 5-10 minutes to respond using the link below. It can also be found on the town website.  The survey will be open until the end of May, but don't wait! Thank you for your help.

The online application for SUN Bucks (formerly Summer EBT) is now open. This federal food benefit program provides a $120 lump-sum summer benefit per school-aged child for income-eligible families. SUN Bucks income eligibility standards are the same as the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)—all enrolled students identified as meeting the income eligibility standards for free or reduced-price lunch during school year 2025-26, either through an NSLP household paper application or direct certification, are automatically eligible for SUN Bucks. Students identified as homeless, migrant, runaway, or participating in Head Start are also automatically eligible. The program is administered by the state Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) in partnership with DESE with assistance from schools. Find details and learn how to apply on the SUN Bucks website
