February 27, 2026
Dear TBHS Community,
Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful February Break and has sufficiently dug out from the Blizzard of 26! We are all abuzz in the building today for the Staff/Senior Volleyball game tonight at 7pm. We hope to see you there!
As many of you know, we are now in the second week of Ramadan, a holy month observed by many Muslims around the world. During Ramadan, those observing the holiday fast from food and drink from sunrise to sunset and often devote additional time to reflection, prayer, and community.
To support students observing Ramadan, we have designated alternative locations during lunch for students who would prefer not to spend that time in the cafeteria while others are eating. Students in first and second lunch may use the counseling office, while students in third and fourth lunch may use the TBS Library. These spaces are available for students to spend their lunch period quietly and comfortably during this time.
March is very, very busy for Bromfield. Next week we have a faculty meeting on 3/3, ½ day on 3/4, the Science Fair on 3/6, and the BPA State Conference on 3/6-3/8. The next week brings the Washington DC trip from 3/10-3/13. I will be chaperoning the trip again and I look forward to spending time with our 9th graders as well as our fabulous crew of faculty chaperones! 3/16 is a Professional Development Day for staff–no school for students. 10th graders have ELA MCAS on 3/24 and 3/25. We end the month with our Sping Musical: Mamma Mia! on 3/27 & 3/28 as well as the Student Lectures with Warner Free Lectures on 3/27. WHEW! March is a marathon, but maybe by the end of it we might see signs of Spring?
Best,
Kim

Parent to Parent College Night
Parents of Juniors, here is your chance to hear from parents of 2025 Bromfield graduates about their experience with college visits, application and selection process. How did they and their children select schools to visit, what role did parents play in the process, what factors weighed into which schools to apply to, what lessons did they learn along the way. These and many more questions will be answered by a panel of parents whose children selected schools close and far, private and public, with options for focusing on liberal arts, STEM, sports and other areas. Also, the experience of one student who has taken a gap year.
Date: Tuesday, March 10th
Time: 7:30 pm
Location: Bromfield School Library/Media Center
