In partnership with the Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston (ATMOB), the Science National Honor Society (SNHS) is hosting the annual Star Party on Monday, May 5th (next Monday!) at 7:00 PM. This is a chance to look at the stars and galaxies close up through a scientific telescope.   This event is weather dependent; if there is a cancellation due to weather, we will send out a notification on Sunday May 4th.

Food and drinks will be provided.

For students in grades 6 & 7, and below, at least one parent or guardian must attend per household. Siblings are encouraged to attend as well!
Please fill out this form by Friday 5/2 if you are planning to attend this year's event. This will help us to organize sufficient materials for everyone interested. Thanks! https://forms.gle/QVxdzq5eVvGgq3zC7

Spring 2025 Teacher Appreciation Week

It's hard to believe but we're already in the home stretch for the 2024-2025 school year. May brings real signs of Spring and along with it Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5-9). The PTO is looking forward to showing the wonderful teachers and staff at HES and TBS how much we appreciate them and we can't do it without you! We want to involve students as much as we can so feel free to talk to your students(s) how they can get involved.

Check out some ways you can contribute and make this a special week:

  1. "Buy Your Teacher a Coffee" - we'll be having the Muddy Water coffee truck back on the May half day (May 16). Please consider making a donation towards these delicious beverages.

  2. To get the week off to a great start, we'll be sponsoring a breakfast spread of goodies. We welcome donations homemade or store bought. If homemade, please let us know if the treat contains any allergens.

  3. We will also be stocking the staff rooms with a coffee bar during the week.  Please consider donating money to help us buy special syrups, flavors, and goodies.

  4. Encourage your student(s) to get involved by taking a few minutes out of their day on Wednesday to help show their appreciation towards the teachers and staff. We'll have a box in the HES front lobby to collect art, notes (to a specific staff member or just generally to say thanks) and any other tokens of appreciation to give them on Wednesday.

If you have any questions please contact info@harvardpto.org

Thank you for all your support in making this an amazing week for our teachers and staff!
