Friday Memo   | October 25, 2024

Dear TBHS Community,

This week in Flex 9th and 10th graders participated in Star assessments for english and math. This is part of our Multi-Tiered System of Support as a way to identify students who may need extra help in math or english. We will be identifying students in our Student Support Team meetings by looking at the Star data, as well as other data, such as attendance, in order to intervene responsively!

Speaking of, attendance is important. We are beginning to look at the end of quarter attendance data. We will be reaching out to families of students with 5 or more absences for support as needed.

Yesterday, the Bromfield High School Council met. We took a look at the current Bromfield graduation requirements and contrasted them with the MassCore recommendations in order to make suggestions for a proposal to school committee for updated requirements. Stay tuned!

Next week brings the end of Quarter 1 on Wednesday, October 30th. That evening there is a Jazz Concert at 6:30pm. Quarter 1 grades will by out on November 8th. You should have received a communication from Dr. Horton yesterday outlining how to sign up for Parent/Teacher Conferences on either November 14th or 21st. We look forward to seeing you!

Tonight the 10th grade class is hosting a dance for 7th & 8th graders from 7pm to 9pm!

Of course, these are only a snapshot of the range of academic, social, and emotional learning happening at TBS!

Please let us know if you have any questions! Below you will find upcoming dates and school/community events
