September 4, 2026,
Dear TBHS Community,
Welcome back! We’ve had a wonderful return to school this week. The building has been a buzz of positivity and energy. I’ve been loving waving to folks as they round Pond Road. Students have acclimated well to using Door 10 and have been very cooperative and polite about the change. Thank you!
Fire Drill
We had our first fire drill yesterday at about 10:45am (thankfully the rain had stopped). We evacuated and had everyone accounted for in 9 minutes and 43 seconds. Thank you students and staff! Well done.
Cell Phone Policy
As you know Harvard Public Schools has instituted a new policy prohibiting student cell phone use during school hours. While most students have historically not used their phones in classes, this does represent a change for the halls, cafeteria, and atrium. One day one Dr Horton and I confiscated 8 cell phones, day two we were down to 4, and as I’m writing this we have 2 cell phones. Students have been cooperative and polite. Thank you students!
District-Wide Student Handbook
The district has transitioned to a district-wide student handbook for all schools. This handbook provides important information, policies, and expectations for students and families across the district. Families can access the handbook on the district website. Please take a moment to review it and keep it as a helpful reference throughout the school year.
Curriculum Night
TBHS Curriculum Night is on September 24th from 6pm to 7:30pm. More information to come!
Enjoy the long weekend!
Best,
