Dear TBHS Community,

We are so excited to welcome students back to school on Wednesday, September 2nd! The building was busy this week as staff began to set up classrooms, counselors met with students, new to the district educators had their day with Assistant Superintendent Molly Superchi and their mentors, and we welcomed new students to grab their devices, get their schedules, and check in! Welcome everyone who is new to the Harvard community. I’m glad you’re here.

As school begins, questions may arise. That’s bound to happen. I want to take a moment to talk to you all about communication. Open communication between families and teachers supports student growth and success. We believe that concerns are best handled and resolved as close to their origin as possible and that professional staff should be given every opportunity to resolve the concern prior to involvement of the administration.

Regarding a specific classroom question or concern, most often, parents/caregivers should seek to have their concerns or questions addressed by the classroom teacher. If the concern is not resolved, the parent/caregiver should follow the channel indicated below per school.

At the secondary level, we encourage students to attempt to resolve issues directly.

Special populations are assigned a liaison who may be an additional point of contact.

I hope this chart helps with clarity! We are all here to help. From now on, you can expect the Friday Memo from me each Friday. Your student will get a Monday Message from Dr Horton outlining pertinent information for the week and important dates. 

I hope that everyone enjoys their last days of summer vacation. I’m thrilled to start my 5th year as Principal of the Bromfield High School. Thank you for all your amazing students and support!

COMMUNITY NEWS AND EVENTS Families are welcome to come out for the first "Harvard Community Connections" event on Thursday, September 3, from 5 - 7 pm at Hildreth Elementary School! Hudson-based Kith & Kin will be on-site with their food truck to offer dinner options (cash and all major credit cards accepted) and Harvard Girl Scout Troop 64747 will be selling baked goods and water (cash, PayPal and Venmo accepted). Come learn about the different organizations in town that make Harvard such a special place to live and how your family can get involved!  Questions?
